FINEX-INTERMODA
International Fashion Exhibition
2-4 March 2007
Athens/Greece

Finex-Intermoda is the only International Fashion Exhibition that is organised in Greece, and opens on 2-4 March 2007 in the M.E.C. (Mediterranean Exhibition Centre) in Peania, Athens, Greece.

Finex is the bridge of communication between the European Fashion World towards Asia and Balkan states. Moreover, more than 25,000 business-owners, commercial dealers, and traders from Greece, Balkan states and Europe are visiting "Finex-Intermoda" reaching suitable agreements.

Greece is a booming market for ready wear exporters according to the figures. Exports of ready wear items of Greece decreased by 8.2% in 2004, from 1,360 million Euros in 2003 to 1,241 million in 2004. For the same period importing increased by 12.6%, from 1,030 million Euros in 2003 to 1,165 million in 2003.

These figures explain our success, as the purpose of Finex is to fill the gap between the growing demand of the fashion sector’s products and the lack of capacity or quality in the regional output.

In addition to hosting trade visitors from Athens, the, Greek islands and Cyprus, Finex attracts professional buyers and importers from all around the world each year including Balkan states, Europe, Asian countries, etc. Foreign visitors constitute around 30% of all visitors.

FINEX provides a strategic response and boosts potential by optimising the dialogue between exhibitors and retailers. Here exhibitors find the ideal dimension for showing their collections and for experimenting new concepts. Our whole team is ready and waiting to assist you in preparing for the forthcoming trade fair in March 2007.

The expectation for a successful International Fashion Exhibition in Greece was confirmed in the past 2 years with the production of Finex, and we have seen a continual increase in the scope and range of sectors and markets from which visitors and exhibitors have come. The most recent Finex held from the 2nd – 4th of September 2006, has been a great success, and has confirmed not only the organizers expectations but also the exhibitors too, which surpassed 180 in number.

During the course of the exhibition, many important orders were achieved with Greek retail shops as well as Romanian, and Bulgarian businesses.

In an era of disruptive change in world apparel manufacturing and trade as well as in consumer behaviour, we believe that it is now more important than ever, to bring together key players from the fashion chain to make progress in emerging or underdeveloped markets. In addition to manufacturers, we are inviting retailers, consumer organizations, designers & fashion marketers to the exhibition.

We will also focus on sourcing and networking opportunities with entrepreneurs from a wide geographical area including, among others the Balkans and Black Sea region and countries from the Mediterranean basin. Within this framework, I strongly believe that your participation will add value to the exhibition and that our program of presentations, debates, workshops and meetings will help further your understanding of the challenges facing our business.

We look forward to seeing you in Athens in March!
